After losing by 36 to the Lakers on Sunday, Minnesota fell 124-101 to the Clippers on Tuesday. Both Rubio and Timberwolves’ coach Ryan Saunders noted Minnesota didn’t follow its game plan whatsoever. The Wolves jacked up quick shots and didn’t stick to the prescribed defensive coverages. “When things weren’t going our way, everybody goes playing selfish,” Rubio said. “We have to learn. There’s a lot of excuses. We’re young, blah, blah, blah, this and that, but once you step on the court, you’re playing for an NBA team, and the last two games, it’s been ridiculously bad.” Rubio said the Wolves are just going out there and “hooping” right now, like a bunch of guys who showed up at the park to play a little 5 on 5.
